Schutzhund — an internal content publishing tool operated by Syross Inc.

1. Who we are

Syross Inc is a federally incorporated Canadian company based in Edmundston, New Brunswick. Syross Inc operates Schutzhund, a private internal tool used to plan, review, and publish content to social media accounts that Syross Inc owns, including accounts for its own brands such as Trucker's Pride.

Schutzhund is not a public product. It has no public sign-up and no external users. This policy explains what data Schutzhund handles, why, and how long it is kept.

2. Scope of this policy

This policy covers data handled by Schutzhund itself. It does not cover the social media platforms Schutzhund connects to; each platform handles data under its own privacy policy.

Schutzhund does not collect personal information from members of the public. It has no visitor-facing forms, no newsletter, no advertising, and no third-party analytics or tracking in its interface.

3. Whose data is involved

Schutzhund handles data relating to two groups only:

Authorized Syross Inc personnel. For each user account, we store a name, work email address, credentials in hashed form, a role, and a record of actions taken in the tool such as approvals and publishing events. This is used to control access and to maintain an audit trail of who approved and published what.

Social media accounts owned by Syross Inc. Described in section 4.

Schutzhund does not receive or process the personal information of social media users, followers, commenters, or customers.

When a Syross Inc administrator connects one of our own accounts, the platform's OAuth flow returns an access token and a refresh token. Schutzhund stores these tokens so that it can publish on our behalf and retrieve reporting data without repeated re-authorization. Tokens are treated as secrets.

Depending on the platform, Schutzhund also retrieves and stores a limited set of account information.

TikTok

Schutzhund integrates with TikTok through TikTok's official developer APIs. The permissions we request and what we do with the resulting data:

All of this data concerns accounts that Syross Inc owns. We do not use TikTok permissions to obtain information about any other TikTok user. We do not request access to private messages, comments belonging to other users, audience lists, or advertising data.

Data received from TikTok is used only for the purposes described above. It is not sold, rented, licensed, disclosed to any third party, used for advertising or ad targeting, used to train machine learning models, or combined with data from other sources to build profiles of individuals.

5. Artificial intelligence

Schutzhund uses AI models to help draft captions and generate images and video for our own marketing content. These models run on infrastructure operated by Syross Inc, or through third-party model providers where necessary.

Data obtained from social media platforms — including access tokens, account information, and video lists — is not sent to AI model providers and is not used to train any model. AI-assisted content is reviewed and approved by a person before it is published.

6. How data is protected

Access to Schutzhund requires an individual account, and administrative functions are restricted by role. Data in transit is protected using HTTPS/TLS. The tool and its publishing components run on infrastructure controlled by Syross Inc, with administrative interfaces placed behind an additional identity-verification layer and not exposed openly to the internet. Access tokens are stored in a database that is not publicly reachable, and are not displayed in the interface or included in exports.

Access is limited to the small number of Syross Inc personnel who need it. No third party is granted access to the tool or its database.

No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affecting personal information creates a real risk of significant harm, Syross Inc will notify affected individuals and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada as required under Canadian law.

7. Data retention and deletion

Access and refresh tokens are retained only while the corresponding account remains connected. When an account is disconnected in Schutzhund, or when authorization is revoked from the platform's own connected-apps settings, the stored tokens for that account are deleted and are not reused.

Account information retrieved from a platform, such as display name, avatar, and follower counts, is deleted or superseded when the account is disconnected.

Records of content we published, and the performance data associated with it, are retained as business records of our own marketing activity.

Personnel account records and audit logs are retained while the individual is authorized, and for a reasonable period afterwards for security and accountability purposes.

8. Withdrawing authorization

A connected account's authorization can be withdrawn at any time in two ways: by disconnecting the account within Schutzhund, or by removing Schutzhund from the connected-apps or third-party-access settings of the platform account itself. Either action stops all further access and publishing.

9. International transfers

Syross Inc operates in Canada. Some infrastructure and service providers used by Schutzhund may process or store data outside Canada, including in the United States. Where that happens, the data may be subject to the laws of that jurisdiction.

10. Children

Schutzhund is an internal business tool. It is not directed at children and is not used to collect information from anyone under the age of majority.

11. Changes to this policy

Syross Inc may update this policy as the tool changes. The effective date at the top indicates when the current version took effect. Material changes will be reflected in an updated effective date.
